HOME AUTOMATION INC (HAI) ADDS LUXUL WIRELESS AS CONNECTIVITY PARTNER
Luxul's Pro-WAVSolutions Enhance Performance of OmniTouch Portable Touchscreen and Other Wireless Devices inside an HAI automated home

New Orleans, LA - September 11, 2009 - Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), leading manufacturer of integrated security and home automation products since 1985, announced a technical Connectivity Partnership with Luxul Wireless, manufacturer of Pro-WAVTM high performance wireless connectivity solutions for whole home wireless network coverage. Pro-WAV products are designed to efficiently extend the coverage area and improve overall network performance in large homes, enabling a single access point to provide complete "whole home" 802.11 Wi-Fi coverage.

"The Connectivity Partnership between Luxul Wireless and HAI helps deliver significant advantages in terms of the range and connectivity of mobile devices on a wireless network," explains HAI Director of Technical Services, Scott Dudoussat. "With Pro-WAV, a single access point can now provide seamless wireless coverage in situations that previously required 3 or 4 access points."

Using Luxul's high-performance Pro-WAV solutions, HAI dealers and integrators can now easily extend the wireless network by up to 400%, while maintaining high data rates. This allows for the delivery of whole-home Wi-Fi coverage using a single wireless access point (WAP) in installations where traditionally an average of 3 or more WAPs has been required. A single WAP can provide network access for the entire home, garage, outbuildings, and even the yard, without the hassle and expense of adding more access points. This allows for considerable savings in equipment and installation time, while also providing significant technical and functional benefits. Extending the reach of a single access point enables HAI home automation wireless network devices to roam through the entire home seamlessly. Luxul's Pro-WAV is ideal for use with HAI's OmniTouch 10p Portable Touchscreen, Philips Pronto remote controls, and other mobile devices running Snap-Link, Snap-Link Mobile, and WL3.
Luxul Wireless Pro-WAV products are engineered and packaged for ease-of-implementation and integration, making them virtually maintenance free. Pro-WAV solutions implement patented digital signal boosting technologies along with an advanced circular polarization signal technology called Clear-WAVTM. Together, these technologies deliver increased signal penetration, range and clarity ─ easily outperforming traditional signal technologies.

"Pro-WAV delivers a nice complement to the HAI line of wireless network devices," said Jeffrey Curtis, president of Luxul Wireless. "Our mutual customers will be well served by the Connectivity Partnership. We're excited to be working with HAI to integrate Luxul technologies."

HAI products are available through a worldwide network of distributors and installing dealers in over 80 countries. For more information on HAI, please visit www.homeauto.com or email marketing@homeauto.com.

HAI and Russound team up to improve integration support, making the Sphere E-Series, C-Series and Russound's family of RNET controllers available on HAI's IP-Based OmniTouch Touchscreens
HAI and Russound will demonstrate the OmniTouch 5.7e and OmniTouch 10p in Booth 743 and Booth 817 at the CEDIA EXPO in Atlanta, Georgia on September 11-13, 2009.

Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), leading manufacturer of integrated security and home automation products since 1985, announced that the OmniTouch 5.7e (53A00-2) and OmniTouch 10p (67A00-1) Touchscreens now feature a newly designed user interface to fully integrate with Russound's high end E-Series products offered through the Sphere Program, C-Series and family of RNET Controllers. Additionally, audio command functionality has been added.

HAI's OmniTouch 5.7e and 10p Touchscreens facilitate control of lights, temperature, security, audio/video, and more. The IP-Based OmniTouch Touchscreens can be fully customized using HAI Automation Studio (1126) customization software, including the addition of floor plans and custom images, as well as foreign language support. They also have the ability to view supported IP cameras and control of entertainment components from an HAI Touchscreen.

Integrating Russound and HAI gives homeowners the ability to select and distribute music from any audio source to different rooms in the house - simulatenousely and independently. The HAI IP-Based Touchscreens can control on/off, volume, muting, transports, audio source, and many other functions for each zone. Additionally, custom audio icons can be set up on Touchscreens such as "Play Favorite Music" that turns on specific zones and adjusts volume to pre-determined levels.

The IP-Based Touchscreens integrated with Russound now display new buttons and new configurations, as well as a simulated LCD screen. Depending upon which Russound system is being used, the IP-Based Touchscreens can display up to four lines of metadata. This includes artist, title, track, album, and playlist; the equipment source and zone are displayed in the simulated LCD screen. The design and colors of the interface can be customized using HAI's Automation Studio.

The integration is as simple as connection via serial port. The controller automatically recognizes that the Russound system is connected, and the appropriate screens are visible on the Touchscreens.

"HAI worked closely with Russound to develop the new screens and functionality," explains HAI Embedded Systems Engineer, Aaron Ard. "The ability for the dealer to customize any aspect of the interface if desired is a fantastic feature as well."

"Integration partnerships with companies like HAI are very important to Russound," said Petro Shimonishi, VP of New Business Development. "This new functionality that we've developed with HAI will make our joint dealers very happy by saving them crucial programming time and delivering a higher level of functionality to their customer."

In addition to demonstrating the OmniTouch 5.7e and 10p in Booth 743 at CEDIA, HAI will be conducting the following training classes in Atlanta. HAI Now Shipping Cellular Communication Center for Phone Line Emulation
HAI will demonstrate the Cellular Communication Center and additional HAI products in Booth 743 at the CEDIA EXPO in Atlanta, Georgia on September 11-13, 2009.

New Orleans, LA - HAI (Home Automation, Inc.), leading manufacturer of integrated automation and security products since 1985, announced today that it is shipping the Cellular Communications Center (C3).

The C3 (HAI part number 70A00-1) connects with all standard burglar or fire alarm panels, including HAI controllers, to emulate the phone line signal if there is not one present. The C3 dials out using a cellular network to communicate with a central monitoring station for security panels. It also allows telephone calls to be made or received over the Cellular network using a land line telephone in the home. The central station can call the homeowner for verification in the event of an alarm.

"The C3 provides another opportunity for added protection," explains Jay McLellan, HAI President. "It allows for installation in remote areas where no phone lines are available, or backup if a main phone line is cut or otherwise inactive."

The C3 will ship with an included backup battery and antenna. It requires a GSM SIM card and cellular service.
